Relax chuckles, this was posted last year in November of 2013, but I am hoping the Lakers barely win 20 - I want them to get that first round draft pick in the top 5 and then start rebuilding with Davis, Randle and Jordan Hill and Kobe and Swaggy P

As much as I like to joke about "The Olynyk Era", I have to say, I love this kids game. He brings a ton of energy, always gives his best effort and is always looking to improve.

Problem with Kelly o is he tries to dribble too much. But yes Trojan he looks to be developing. He is a 7 footer who can shoot from far beyond the three. He will help spread the floor. I actually saw him block a shot the other night

Davis isn't quite big enough to be a legitimate center, but if the Lakers could pick up a really good center, then he could play the power forward position and be a back up for the center. He is good enough to beat most of the centers in the league though. He is developing very nicely and might be a candidate for rookie of the year this season if he continues

Jeannie Buss said that they had a three year plan to rebuild quickly - and that it would come together in the third year. So yes the Lakers won't be good at all this year or next, but in the post Kobe big contract era - the Lakers Julius Randle and Ed Davis will be ready to play serious ball and reach their potential. If Kobe comes back - the Lakers have indicated it would have to be for less money so they can sign other big name contracts. I think there are many great players that would enjoy having Kobe to be on the team as a teacher/mentor but not sapping the money and playing time, so that is possible. I like Jordan Hill and hope he stays as well, and I think Nick Young is definitely a keeper, so the Lakers do have some players that are really going to be good. It takes time
