Of course. That is a huge event and any time McIlroy is in the field I always have a rooting interest. As long as he loses I'm good. The golf was pretty boring with all the crappy play but at least all the leaders choked together so that made it more interesting to see if anybody could finally make a birdie and win. Happy for Kitayama
Bay Hill is the toughest course on tour. It is made even tougher when you have winds like they had. The greens were ridiculously hard and fast on Sunday. When you say "all the leaders choked together"...you may want to consider you are off base.

BTW...Rory was 2-under on the back nine and 1-under over the last 3 holes. Kitayama was 1-under on the back nine (the birdie on 17). Saying Rory "choked" is ridiculously stupid. Just give credit to Kitayama for holding on (which he deserves) and call it a day.

meant more individuals in golf or tennis.
Can't stand the anti-vaxxer fool Djokovic either. I always root against him too.

But I was assured that the Saudis weren't using these golfers for exposure and to sportswash their evil empire?

Are we changing our story on that now?
Bwa ha ha. "Evil empire". I knew you were an idiot.

Only this douchebag would call a tournament where like 9 guys were within a stroke of the lead with 3 holes to play - including 4 or 5 of the biggest names in golf - boring.
Watching players bogey their way home with the tournament on the line is boring. Take the Masters for instance. Usually the back nine on Sunday is thrilling but watching Matsuyama shoot 4 over on the back nine and still win was boring. The highlight of that event was his caddie for pete's sake.

The shitbird McIlroy also made two bogeys in the last 5holes when he was alone in the lead. He only stayed in the tournament because his drive on 15 hit a tree that was out of bounds and it bounced back in bounds off the tree. He is a choker who has not won a Major for 9 years. He is a PGA shill.

Including holes 8 & 9 which are the two toughest holes on the toughest course on tour, he birdied 5 of the last 11 holes and was 3 under over that stretch. Anyone who says he choked is a moron.

Weird that you leave out his three birdies in the last 7 holes and a 2-under back nine...

He is absolutely trolling. I'm not sure why some get enjoyment out of that...but whatever. I'm done with him. Who has f'ing time for that???

He gagged on the back nine. But I don't dislike him because he always chokes, I don't like him because he's a petty little butt hurt bitch. Constantly whining about players who were smart enough to go where they got paid.

I was worried when I saw he had the solo lead on the back none but I was pretty confident he would choke and fortunately he did. McIlroy plays good when he's out of it but once he gets in the lead he gags. His 15th hole was hilarious. But if the winner shoots 72 on the final day you can't really say anyone played well.

I root for good matches. I will pull for one player more than another but I never cheer against someone.

just like golf, I just want to see a good match.

The Arnold Palmer was exciting to the last hole

you would think someone who claims to be a great golfer such as yourself would actually understand what makes golf so challenging...

ironic coming from someone who cheers for the LIV and the butthurt petty bitches that ran to greener, cash lined pastures

It was exciting. I was so glad to see Kitayama win. The announcers were rooting so hard for McIlroy and that took some of the fun out of it. They couldn't even bother to learn how to pronounce Kitayama's name properly. So disrespectful.
I root against players all the time; Woods, McIlroy, Garcia, Poulter, Lebron James, Patrick Mahomes

Oh, I fully understand how difficult that course is and fully understand that there is no comparison between those Tour players and guys like me who played at the top amateur level.
Its not the players I dislike, with the exception of the loudmouths like McIlroy, Horshell andThomas, its the PGA itself that I cannot stand throwing its monopolistic weight around trying to destroy its competition just like its done with all the other tours.

How are those guys butthurt? They are having a blast and have set their families up for life. I'm more anti PGA than I am pro LIV. I hope they make it because that is more golf but I cannot condone business giants trying to monopolize any business and destroy its competition its anti-American.

No. You are biased. They were absolutely giddy when McIlroy started making his comeback and so dejected when he blew the lead and then missed that easy putt on 18 to lose.

of course I was...I love a good comeback

and it doesn't matter who it is making the run

that's what makes golf exciting...someone (anyone) can get on a hot streak and make a run at the lead.

which is why I don't care about the guys who left for LIV...maybe except for Cam

The PGA is throwing its weight around toward the golf shows on Golf Channel as well. Monday morning's Golf Central show the day after the Honda and the LIV Mayakoba event went the entire 90 minutes without a word about LIV. They went on and on about the Honda and the LPGA and even spent a bunch of time on a women's college event hosted by Darius Rucker. Yet they ignore LIV? How is that possible? I no longer watch those shows but I used to really enjoy them except for Brandel Chamblee. The PGA has everyone running scared and I'm not sure why
