now bear with me hear i am about to go train of consciousness with these posts

i was going to say our 3rd down efficiency will improve but we were 3rd in 3rd downs attempted and 3rd in 3rd downs converted. our % was 8th but hell we were on 1.5% behind new orleans at 4th. so yeah that is damn awesome.

now i have been searching for the last 20 minutes and can not find a single helpful redzone stat. regarldess of the fact that it has its own channel and you can not find a fucking analyst that wont shut up about it. apparently unless you pay elias sports bureau an ass load of money we are not allowed to look at such things. of course the NCAA has it for every one of its 250 some odd teams but fuck if the NFL can do it for its 32.

what i have been able to find showed that stafford converted 18% of his red zone attempts and leshoure just over 30% of his attempts for TDs. stafford and every QB gets a small credit in the redzone cause a bulk of their completions are made to inch inside the 12 yard line where any play that makes it past the line of scrimmage is half way to a TD.

since we were 2nd in the league in passing inside the redzone i am going to go ahead and put us somewhere in the ballpark of 10th overall in redzone attempts. combining just leshoure and stafford i came up with a 22% redzone conversion.

and like i previously mentioned red zone conversions are a bitch to find during the offseason so i am going to geusstimate that puts us around 14 overall.

add reggie bush, burleson, broyles, and pettigrew's 3 games to go with an improved oline (shut up reiff is better than backus and the rookie would have to really try to suck worse than peterman last year). i can see an easy + 15 red zone completions from stafford which would increase his completion % over 50 and would help us get to around 25% overall in the red zone conversion department.

we are already good in the 3rd down department, we have 3 new weapons ready to run and life is about to get better.
