Lions Win Loss Prediction Thread.

I got ya swarm.....I'm just trying to sort through the kool-aid and hater-aid....I like people to give a honest prediction of where we think we are.

I realized how serious you were taking this and decided to respect that and stop clowning around with a 12-4 prediction. 2 seasons ago the Lions beat everyone but the elite teams (Packers, Niners, Saints etc...) on their schedule. That's kinda of how I approach this season. Realistically, 9-7. If they actually improve drastically, and the Schwartz is strong all year, they might be able to swing another 2 or 3 wins imo.

smitty and I were just going a round yesterday for some reason. I normally get along with him fine. This isn't that serious but to get a real idea of where the Lions are when all the predictions are in I'll take all the numbers and add them up divide by the number of predictions to get what I hope to be a plausible outcome....I'll probably toss out the top two kool-aid predictions and bottom two hater-aid predictions.

That adds up to 8-8 I think.

More or less how I see it. Maybe a sweep of minn as they have the d line to challenge AD better than most and ponder sucks, or one more good game against a better team and you get my 9-7.

Meh, more realistic than the 19-0 or 14-2 listed. If anything I'm a fan of the Vikings in your division, as my dad's a Vikings fan and I've followed AD since his freshman year, and as an outside observer put them at 9-7, so I don't see much koolaid in your guess. Stick to your guns.

Wow, it sucks you cant change after the first kick-off. I would love to see just one real game to see their real schemes before making it concrete.

The way I have been looking at it, if they use the same schemes as last year, I think they will win 9 games.

The reason I wish we can change up is because every year I like to see if this is the year they finally pull away from the single back set and use the lead blocker more often. IF they did that, they would have a much more consistent offense. They would have the ball for more time on the clock as well as keep better field position, IMO. I could see 11 wins with that.

Since we cant wait and see one game, I will have to stick to my guns and say Linehan is not smart enough to know "how" to run the ball well, and they keep the same scheme. The Lions are better than last year's debacle and not as good as the year before. 9-7

until this team shows me that they can consistently win against the teams they should beat, get some victories against teams with a winning records, and close out games in which they are leading in the 4th Q this is a 6-10 football team. it kills me to think that way about 2013 but I can no longer go into the season full of unbridled enthusiasm only to be horribly disappointed.

I have a problem with this. Obviously the Lions aren't going 16-0 so I understand that part of it. But why would someone obviously be biased for predicting the Lions will go 0-16?

Is that such a crazy prediction? It's only 5 games off from last year. And the Lions have done nothing in the offseason to suggest they will be better this year. I liked the draft picks, but none of them will help immediately. It was a draft to help a couple years from now. And who was the big free agent signing? Reggie Bush? So what!! He'll help the offense move the ball between the 20's. Big deal. That wasn't the problem last year. The problem was red zone offense & defense. I'm pretty sure the Lions will continue to suck at both.

I'm not saying that I think the Lions will go winless. But I think it's a definite possibility. Don't forget, they are the only franchise to ever go 0-16. And they showed last year that they are more than capable of quitting on a season if things start going south.

Besides, they play in the toughest division in football. Their schedule is absolutely brutal. I don't see many wins on that schedule. AT ALL!!

If I had to make an exact prediction I would say 3-13. But I think 0-16 is very likely. There is very little to like about this upcoming season.

I also don't use a beard trimmer, hair dryer or electric toothbrush in case you are taking a poll or something.

But if you are hoping that I electrocute myself don't worry. There are plenty of electrical outlets in my house. I am often tempted to stick something metal inside those little holes during Lions games. Who knows? I may not survive another season.
