I'm going with 6-10 for 2019.

Realistically, I think they are likely to hover around the 6-7 win area, but I'm going to drink the Kool-Aid again this season.

I can. They have 4 (I believe) high 1st round draft picks tied up on 3 Linebackers between Mack, Floyd and Smith. That’s simply no way to build a team.

2-3 wins has less to do with Stafford and a lot more to do with one of the worst defenses the Lions have ever sported.

Since you like the Patriots take a look at 2nd place in the AFC East... 2019 Bills, 2018 Dolphins, 2017 Bills, 2016 Dolphins, 2015 Jets, 2014 Bills, 2013 Jets, 2012 Dolphins. What are the chances the Jets will take 2nd place next year?

You underestimate the power of the NFL... the Lions could have Ryan Leaf as QB and go all the way. It sounds far fetched but not always obvious.

The NFL ABSOLUTELY massages out wins for bigger market teams that take in more revenue. More Marketable stars...Etc.
The Packers game on Monday night was the most blatant I've seen to date. But usually it isn't so obvious.
I think at this point they will let the small market team win from time to time if they can overcome enough flags and the bigger market team just flat out doesn't show up.
But smaller market teams always have bigger hills to climb.

You probably heard of the term "Cinderella Team"... because of the Evil NFL Mother and Wicked Division Step-Sisters?? LOL... It's a Marketing Tool to keep the fan base hooked to let the smaller fan base teams in the playoffs once in a while.

"IF" there able to preform. Their teams still need to preform and injuries can change the outcome of their season. Some teams have hired players off the streets and moved onto the playoffs. The Lions on the other hand, if someone breaks a fingernail their season is over.

The blatant calls mostly happen when the team the NFL wants to lose has the lead. If the team is trailing the NFL "FAVORITE" there's no need for blatant calls just a few flags to change the momentum of "ANY TEAM" to kill their drives.
