I just figured it out.......The Lions will select an OT at #10 to come in and beef up the trenches behind, Reiff, Wafford, Waddle and Sims.....They beefed up the D-line with Fairley Suh and Ansah.....

This is GENIUS.......Leshoure wasn't used last year because he's gonna get the rock 20 times a game this year.......Absoulte GENIUS! Once Leshoure goes for over 2000 yards we can then trade him for draft picks next year....I swear Mayhew is Genius!!!!

I suggest everyone go read some of the articles about the Lions and see for themselves where the Lions seem most interested in.

I don't think articles are necessary. If you've followed Millenhew for the last 14 years, you know what position he's interested in.

Didn't realize he'd been our GM for that long... 14 years is a while...

Well, you and Pete Prisco are now in agreement, which as a fundamental law of physics makes you wrong.

We all know what the Lions pick is going to be. Detroit cannot pass up another shiny toy for the offense. They are either trading up for Watkins or drafting Evans, unfortunately.

It is what it is. At least after that pick is out of the way -- Detroit won't have any positions left to draft on offense, so they will be forced to do something about the defense.

Most likely.

It's obvious that Matt Millen was leaning on Martin Mayhew for draft advice during his entire run. Mayhew's unhealthy obsession with WR's is all the evidence we need. Matt Millen is a stand up guy who would never throw Mayhew under the bus and admit this now, but I bet later in life years after Mayhew is out of the NFL, the truth will come out. Mayhew has been running this show since 01. Millen was just the guy shaking hands and kissing babies.

Trading up for Clowney is pure speculation.

Crowning the Lions RB's best in the league when they are clearly worst in fumbles and 17th overall is mowing on a slice of XXXL cornbread.

I see reading comprehension isn't that good around here sometimes. I never said that had the best, I said they could have the best.

Coming off as a troll these days. Your Seahawks win it and now it's just pile on Lions fans?

Lol, you gotta remember that anything you post can and will be completely twisted around to use against you...

Only by trolls who have no interest in discussing the Lions as fans and would rather make these threads and comments blowing everything out of proportion for reasons I really dont get.

TP -- How can you possibly not see this? Over the last 10 years -- here are the picks Detroit has spent on the WR position.

2003 -- #2 overall pick -- Charles Rogers, 6th round pick David Kircus
2004 -- #7 overall pick -- Roy Williams
2005 -- #10 overall pick -- Mike Williams
2007 -- #2 overall pick -- Calvin Johnson
2008 -- 5th round pick -- Kenneth Moore
2009 -- 3rd round pick -- Derrick Williams
2010 -- 7th round pick -- Tim Toone
2011 -- 2nd round pick -- Titus Young
2012 -- 2nd round pick -- Ryan Broyles
2013 -- 6th round pick -- Corey Fuller

Also signed Burleson to a 5 year 25 million dollar contract. He is gone now and they have signed Golden Tate to a 5 year 31 million dollar contract. Also traded a 5th round pick for Mike Thomas.

So in the past 10 years -- we have spent 4 1st round picks, 2 2nd round picks, 1 3rd round pick, 1 5th round pick, 1 6th round pick and 1 7th round pick. We have traded away a pick to get a WR and we have signed two of the top free agent WRs at the time.

You don't see the infatuation with the shiny new toy for the offense?

Not at all. I'm just a pessimistic Lions fan is all. I would really love the Lions to play football like Seattle did this year.....Nothing would make me happier, The only problem is I just don't see it with the moves they make and what becomes of a lot of them.
