I thought that was pretty obvious to everyone after listening to Quinn's introduction. He said flat out that he had to find out if Caldwell was the kind of guy he could work with. Firing him after that basically makes you look worse as a new GM than it does him. But it's still a huge slap in the face to Caldwell. And he's a guy that if nothing else has put in a lot of time and met a lot of guys around the league.
I don't think he's the long term plan, and he didn't say anything like that. Basically all they said was that he wasn't fired. Yet.
That's basically my thoughts, he is a good leader but a terrible in game coach. He can succeed with a good staff in place..Hugely disappointed, but I support it. Hopefully this means JBC and Austin stay too. I'm all for continuity based on the 6-2 finish.

I'd like to see him stay again then. (Even though I wish he was never hired.)Meh. He will have to make the playoffs to save his job next year. Cant see him having much leeway.
