According to two sources tonight next year's Winter Classic will the Philadelphia Flyers visiting the nation's capital to face the Washington Capitals. The outdoor series will also continue with Montreal, St. Louis, San Jose and Minnesota, and Tampa leading the list to host the games. An Announcement regarding the Caps and Flyers could be made soon.

Thoughts??? Very interesting and i'd love for it to happen. An outdoor game at Ray Jay? Perhaps the cannons go off after the Bolts score?

if it happens i'm getting tickets to go for sure! but how will they keep the ice cold what if it's 80 degrees ?

Its reported they have a hard time keeping indoor ice in Tampa though I always see it as OK. How will they ever get a outdoor freezer good enough if it gets warm. Last year didn't one of the games almost get ruined because of water on the icce ?

Game would be in January and they would do it at night and lots and lots of cooling fans
