Let The Games Begin!!
What's the word in reds nation... Did Chapman just let one get away from him, or was he sending a message?
We've already sent a message.."we're not going anywhere either"!!! Let the games begin!!!!!!

Cmon evo,you know that was not on purpose! He hit him in the thigh! lol Nothing was said when ur pitcher got chippy with our catcher at first.Either way it was a great game last night.
Part of me wants to believe you. But the other part of me looks at the box score from the past four games the reds and pirates have played against one another, and sees that this is now three HBP, and the second one on Harrison.
Harrison was plunked in the last series on a very questionable situation... He received a throaty roar from his fans who showed up to support the hometown kid in Cinci. Subsequently, he took one in the ribs.
Morning evo. Brother,i just dont see it! Why would we pull crap like that while we're in contention with each other?.....well the playoffs for that matter? Maybe i'm wrong and i just dont see it! Either way,you guys are doing a hell of a job this yr.
Mornin Blue
Baseball has always been about imposing your will on the opposition, and intimidation. For over 100 years, cheap shit like this has been going on.
I can't say with 100% conviction that this just happens to be a coincidence because these two teams have a lot at stake between one another. The Bucs are a very young and inexperienced team when it comes to battling deep into a pennant race. I think it would be kinda silly to disregard an intimidation factor working its way into these matchups.
In any case, I'm just happy to see the pirates have battled every nite. I expect nothing less from them today with Burnett on the hill.
Looked intentional to me.....but whatever, I'd rather see the Pirates win than get any perceived revenge. The only guy in the league I enjoy seeing get hit with a pitch is Ryan Braun.
Good series, I was at the game Friday night, and I enjoyed the ballpark....didn't get heckled one time, which was odd, so hats off to Cincy fans.
The only positive to this is you know the Reds will regress a bit. Just have to. And they may be peaking too early. That said, I think the Pirates are in on the WC, but the division may be out of reach in the end.

Hard to think we've peaked with Votto and Philips out, but yes, a 24/28 stretch or whatever will come to an end. A lot of those wins did come against bad teams.
Good series, gents
I doubt there will be any significant fall off, and like the Pirates, their remaining schedule is rather easy compared to majority of the league. Votto returning will be a big boost obviously, but I think they've been perfectly fine without Phillips. That's probably largely due to the fact that Phillips, in my eyes, is a jack-wagon.
