meh...just trying to think outside the box. Everyone is looking East...I'm wondering what opportunities may lie in the West....if any.
Yeah I was doing the same yesterday. Would love to get OU in the SEC and let Texas keep the big12 for itself.

Volbound, why do you think the SEC would take State over Carolina?
Also, if conference commissioners thought VT would bring the DC and Virginia market wouldnt they already be in the B1G?
Why is that?

I don't have any proof, tweets, or connections saying that...just a feeling. Maybe you would. I think UNC is preferable over State. UNC vs UK in basketball would be awesome.
adding OU and Okie Lite would be pretty sweet.....
I think they understand that they have to be looking for a way out, and if that means the SEC then I don't see them turning it down. You could be right, especially since a lot of basketball only just care about being in a conference with Duke.
And make the 4 team pod:
A&M
Mizzou
OU
OSU
lol
also I think people think UNC will not move without Duke....
i think, when it comes down to it, if UNC has to make a move, it has other options that are more attractive to the university. SEC <> UNC just doesn't fit
I went over this in another thread somewhere. Carolina needs to have a football program in order for athletic department to be successful. I think they would move without Duke if staying with Duke meant sacrificing football money.
can you promise not to wear those shitty helmets again?
There should be 2 superconferences with 80 teams each. They play round robin and crown a champion every 7 years. The 2 champs play for the 7-year title.
it seems consensus that the 3 teams that the SEC would want are VT and UNC/NC State.
The question is:
UNC+Duke > VT+NC State?
My answer ... no ... not in regards to TVs. UNC may be a national bball brand but all anyone cares about are TV contracts. NC State still brings the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill metro area. If UNC & Duke leave the ACC as a package deal, they'll be in the B1G, where they care about things other than money and football (namely, academics). I think the B1G would want UVA before Duke (to tap into the DC market even more).
NC State has a much more passionate football fan base than UNC. NCSU is a bigger draw to the bowls. As long as Swofford is commissioner of the ACC, then UNC won't be going anywhere.
