Looks like my boy Yu will be returning next Saturday. And if all goes according to plan, I'll be in attendance.

I may try to make that game too.

In the 4 years he's been here, I've never seen him pitch in person.

Seen him twice. Once against Detroit, and once in a walk off win against Boston. Papi took him deep but he struck Papi out in a big moment later that game and pumped his fist as he walked off the mound.

I hope he's ready. I don't expect him to be his dominating self until later in the season tho. I don't think we have been rushing him, but he has come a long way.

No choo again.... And the line up looks totally feckless. I have been disappointed with the roosters Sunday line ups this year. It seems like he goes overboard in giving his position players rest and over uses the damn bullpen.

As exciting as I am to see Darvish coming back. There's also the nagging fact, his comeback will probably put even more pressure on the BP than it has already. At least initially.

And Perez will no longer be the pitcher on staff who receives the least amount of run support.

I so hope Choo is not hurt again.

But excellent point on how Banister is hell-bent on giving daily players rest with little regard for the pen.

PS..........don't think I've ever seen the word "feckless" used on this board before. :noidea:

With this line-up, Stubbs is really the natural LO hitter to me.

And what, you have no problem with Fielder hitting 3rd now? That was a joke.

Is that a good or bad thing? Haha....... Honestly, I have seen a lot of what I call " white flag" line ups from Banister this year, but I don't see the teams we play give their stars days off nearly as often. It's possible that I just don't notice it, but I doubt it. The Jays played there full lineup all 3 games against us. The Astros did too. I think the Tigers sat some guys, and I recall the white sox not resting Frazier any against us.

To answer your question, I don't know. ha

But you've made a good point on the Sun. "getaway game" for the Rangers seems to be different under Banister, than what some/most other teams do.

Honestly doesn't make it a bad thing. But it's a point taken.

At the current rate, both of these starters can go 10/11 innings.
