While I don't like this initial roll out with Choo, he's at least showing a willingness to shuffle people around until he finds the right mix, hopefully he finds it soon

I understand the idea of sticking with a proven veteran and letting him work his way out of a slump. There is a fine line between doing that and living in the past though. Banister needs to realize that Fielder is not the same player he was a few years ago. We got 2-3 good months out of him last year and even one of those lacked power. He simply isn't a guy you can plug into the top half of the lineup on an everyday basis any longer. He isn't even a guy you need to have in the lineup on an everyday basis any longer. Even if he was still his old self and was just in a slump he could work his self out of it further down in the lineup.

In fact, he may be very close to just deserving to be a bench player for the rest of his career.

I would imagine some of the increase in TV revenue over the past 2-3 years from the new local TV contract and new national TV contracts have been earmarked for this for awhile now. Just a guess.

SRO capacity will be higher, and it's a new stadium so tickets will go up.
