Vogey should be released tomorrow I’m done, he ain’t Bucky his 10 minutes is up let’s get a youngster up here

That is my thing. Even though Lewis and White are striking out a ton, they are the future and are showing glimpses. No idea who they could call up if they released Vogelbach and Marmo (not sure if he has any options) or how the hell the options work. Is Vogelbach eligible because of this short season to down to Tacoma and practice?

I am just glad that atleast one of our core young pieces looks great. Kyle Lewis looks like he could be like Justin Upton. Still holding out on Sheffield, Dunn and White.

I still think we are in pretty good shape long term we have 5 starting pitchers drafted in the 1st round in our organization, what looks to be a stacked outfield in Lewis, Kelenic, and Rodriguez.

im pretty confident this team wont win many games. I dont think you can reasonably expect Walker, Graveman and Kikuchi to shut down offenses consistently. Alot of these guys have their good moments offensively and look overmatched at other times. Comes with the territory. Bullpen is a mess but I think there are a couple talented arms there but Servais doesnt know how to use them yet (shocking i know).

Regardless Ill keep doing what I said and not let anything get me too up or down. Ill enjoy watching baseball as long as its here, which could be hours at this point.

I know he is out of options but wasn’t sure if because of this crazy season there might be an exception. I never read through the agreement the owners and players association made.

Why did he pull Sheff?
The kid had two outs and was pitching just fine!

Shaw looks fantastic

Our pitching is atrocious. Can we please let not the games begin.... Six runs on six hits this inning with two outs. Pathetic

Nice job Scott. Pull Sheffield quickly but leave Shaw in there forever to give up 6 runs on 5 hits 3 Bbs

What a joke. All I can think of is that Scotty must have the goods on Dipstick. Doesn't take a whole lot of brains to see that our skipper still doesn't get it when it comes to managing the pitching staff. If the M's ever start producing in the future, it will be in spite of Servais- that's assuming Jerry and his sidekick are still around. :suds:

That's the one thing you have to remember about those players who "pitch just fine."
Servais hates having someone set a precedent for the rest of the team.

I don't mind having our young players gain experience this season. As bad as Sheffield has been the last 2 starts there is no point to take him out he needs to take his punches and try to learn. Its only a 60 game season that could cancel at any given time. The same way we are keeping White out there and he is putting on a strike out clinic every time he gets an AB but JP Crawford needed 500 ABs before it looks like he can put something together.

rather have Sheffield take his punches than have scrubs that won’t be on our team next year two take them....

4.1 innings; 9 BB from our bullpen! 8 hits. More walks than hits by the As... Yikes! As Barkley would say, “that’s turrible”

This is what I dont understand either. I have my doubts whether Sheffield can be an MLB starter because of his lack of consistency but man at least give him the chance to prove what he cant do. This is the time to be seeing if this guy can hang or not. Who gives a damn about Brian Shaw. Even if he got out of that inning what does that matter in the grand scheme of things. But while we are speaking about Brian Shaw we best not be on the roster come game time. He's basically the next Casey Fien.

I dont think i've ever seen a coach/manager have so much job security without doing anything to earn it. Even Marvin Lewis is impressed.

The thing I don’t get he was at 79 pitches, he had two outs. It’s been discussed over and over Sheff has a tendency of getting in his own head why the hell pull the kid like he was being guarded? He sat for a whole week watching every starter up their previous performance this kid was doing the same.
