Hutchinson and Craig put through waivers for the Pens. I highly doubt anyone takes them on. Apparently Luca Caputi was also put on waivers from Toronto (he may tempt some people). Pens are also leaning more towards sending Despres back to Juniors because he needs the playing time (reportedly). I think that's the best idea right now.

Caputi is waiver eligible? .... side thought... what's the word on Angelo Esposito?

EDIT: Nevermind... Esposito was cut on 9/22 (reported to Chicago in AHL). Any Atlanta fans out there? Is he just not living up to expectations?

In reading about Espo, it was really just injuries that he hasn't fully gotten over yet that seemed to be keeping him back. The Caputi thing I'm not 100% on, because it was hearsay for the most part. Even though the Pens have lost those two to trades, I can't lie and say it's had a huge adversary effect.

They are usually a pretty credible source but I haven't seen anything on either the Pens or Sea Dogs websites confirming this.

Bitter sweet for me if true. We can use him back here ASAP but a few regular season NHL games would have done a lot of good for him. Which would only be good for the team in the long-run. Expect him to play 25-30 minutes a game down here.

For those who would like to know, Mathieu Perreault has been sent down meaning Marcus Johansson has won a Center job for the caps. Probibly 3rd line, but might end up on the 2nd line at some point.....

Well at least squid will miss the first game of the season. Granted I was hoping for more but considering who the disciplinarian is I was surprised Cammy was given anything.
