I love the pick of Dennard. He was my first choice of CB's and reminds me a lot of Hall with better physical attributes. Which leads me to what are the chances Hall comes back and plays like his former self. Something to think about is that we were 5th against the pass last season without Hall. This with guys like Pacman and Newman back there. Dre' is a career backup at best for us, and when we let him walk he will be a perennial pro-bowler for somebody else.....nah, that kid ain't doing shit for nobody.

I'm hoping with the addition of Dennard and if Hall can come back, we can at least stay top 5 again. I'm definitely interested to see if we move Hall to safety at some point. Seems logical, but shit...we're still the Bengals.

I have tons of thoughts about this upcoming season and think we may be surprised that our defense continues to be good. I never was a very good poster but hope to get on here more and talk Bengal football. Board seemed to die down after the draft. Shit, we're 7-8 weeks away from camp fellas.

Stats in years past have shown a large dropoff in our secondary with Hall injured, but last season, the team seemed to get by. Most of that could probably be attributed to the pass rush and Zimmer's scheming. With Johnson and Zimmer both gone, it'll be interesting to see how that has an effect on the entire defense. End of the day, a top 5 ranking against the pass could have very little to do with Hall.

Flacco was poor last season.
Ben completed 20 of 25 passes against us in a non-competitive game.

Decent job the first game against Rivers and the game against Luck.

I think Zimmer did a terrific job with some corners that have some age and some flaws..... I wouldn't have been very confident with that group against a qb that had multiple weapons. This season we have a few of those guys.
