I don't know this, but I would bet the farm the Cooper trade was 100% Jerry's call. They have spent the last 4-5 years building the right way, through the draft and not overpaying retreads. Why would they suddenly give a first for Cooper? Cooper is a solid player, but beside the point.
I personally believe the Cooper pick was made because Jerry is desperate for Dak to be a franchise QB, already promising to extend him despite a down year.

I don't know either, but I tend to think the same way. Coincidence that we lose to Wash and then immediately trade for Cooper? It seems like Jerrys way of saying I'm going to do this so you get a fair shot and can't say you didn't have the talent and if you all still can't get the job done you are gone - Garrett and Linehan and maybe Rod. Then part two is Dak who gets new coaches to lead him and another shot next year to prove he can be the player from 2016 (or close to it) and if he can he stays with a new deal and if he can't we look elsewhere.

I agree. No way in he'll I give dak an extension untILduring or after the 2019 season. We need better play from dak and he was the main reason we lost to the titans. That interception in the end zone and the fumble later on were unacceptable. On that fumble dak stood there for nearly 5 seconds.

yep, LVE did praise Sean Lee for helping them prepare. Sean Lee hopefully will be a coach for us when he is done. LVE was great this game. There was only one play I saw tonight where he was out of position which is really good for a rookie. LVE will win DROY if he continues to play like this.

Yeah, I think the Bobby Carpenter comparisons were the lamest ever. Kinda looks like the Urlacher ones have some merit though

IDK, LVE is similar in size to Jack Lambert. Now if only LVE could be as mean, intense and nasty as Lambert. lol

That said LVE has had some great games already and really has the vision and instincts to be an all-pro. To get a player like this at 19 is pretty lucky.
