The only time its really happened is at the end of games where Cleveland is up big.

The same things happens to a lot of teams in that same situation. We see it all the time. Its hard to run your normal offense in that position... and in some ways it would be a bad idea to do so. Its a balance that you have to find between slowing down a game when you have a good lead... but without grinding your offense to a halt.

Last night, the Cavs didn't do a very good job of that. LeBron spoke at length on the subject post-game and didn't try to deflect anything. He owned up to it and took responsibility which is what you like to see your leader do.

Third quarter, the bench stretched the lead, Lebron gets back in the game and 4 isolation plays, no other Cav touched the ball other than the one that had the honor of inbounding the ball to him. JR was on fire, Lebron went back in the game and did not pass the ball once. It made no sense whatsoever. Who cares if he has a matchup, four shot clock expiring shots. It might have been more or longer, I could not watch anymore.

I have to congratulate JR on hitting those wide-open 3's. That's more than I thought he could do.

Wide open lol. You didnt watch the game apparently. It was good defense, better JR.

It was really unstoppable.

wide open? What game were you watching?

I'm sure those step-back 3's will fall for the whole series. He's a mediocre player on an average team, on the Cavs he's okay.

He has been hitting those shots for years. He is a playmaker, a shooter, that's what he does. He has hot streaks and cold streaks. He is more than an average player bc he actually plays defense now. He is one of the keys Cleveland is where they are.

They did the exact same WTF offense again in game 2.

Maybe its just the way to beat Atlanta

it shouldnt work versus anyone, but it seems to work versus the Hawks.

I am starting to doubt conventional wisdom if the Cavs keep blowing out teams with this offense that makes no sense.

They aren't really blowing teams out though. Boston kept everything respectable. The Bulls series was pretty even on up until the final game. The first Atlanta game stayed fairly close throughout. It wasn't until last night with Atlanta's putrid effort that they blew the doors off guys. They're doing the winning with sound defensive play and doing just enough to get by on offense (with Atlanta just making it really easy for them on that end last night)
