but MJ had natural charisma that LeBron lacks. MJ was not a nice person and would have been exposed for sure if playing today. LeBron has a douchiness factor that MJ just didn't.

100% nailed it. I was trying to think about why MJ's stuff is looked at with humor, nostalgia and dismissed as "that's how competitive he was" while with Lebron, it's just a bad look and couldn't put my finger on it.

I think LeBron wants to take a bit more of a back seat sometime soon, or at least have a co-pilot. But since you brought it up, curious as to what you think about the possibility long term.
