OMG! The haters are out in full effect having recovered from their dumbness in doubting Lebron. However he is still laughing at all of you.

Funny thing about the haters is that they call LBJ all these names but the things they bitch about when it comes to Lebron just shows how immature they are.

The things they throw hissy fits about when it comes to LBJ is something a kid in elementary school would do.

Well I'm glad to have lived in this moment so I can tell my kids all about how bitch like haters can get. Lebron is a man like anyone else and probably has his skeletons like anyone else but the hate he gets is off the charts. So far I have not heard a rational reason to hate the dude. The prevailing theme seems to be that he is arrogant and does not respect the game? What am I missing that he has done that any other player has not done?

When did he do this? I thought he announced he was going to the Heat during the "Decision". I don't recall him saying he hates Cleveland fans. If thats truly it then some people really need a life coach. The magnitude of butt hurt over someone they don't know personally is staggering.

the decision was a nationally televised dumping of a fan base. i love the heat.. and i love lebron. but let's not act like the decision doesnt play a role in this hatred. it's the actual point where alot of it began.

I agree but after a while it is time to move on especially when you consider the fact that none of this hate is coming from actual Cavs fans which I would understand their reason for still disliking hiim

I guess I got a little more fortitude than the average person then. I dont see why anyone would take that personally except maybe a deranged Cleveland fan.

i agree. i honestly find it odd that the laker fans hate lebron and miami so much. i get in 2011 when they were the two time defending champs and miami announced they were going to be the champs. i could get how that could irk some people. but were going on 3 years now. and in honesty, the Heat proved they would be winning championship, and none came at the laker expense, so i dont get it.

Same here. Up to this day I don't see why fans of teams who had no chance of signing Lebron still cares about the decision 3 yrs later.

That moment will shadow his entire career sir. It will be enshrined as part of his legacy. It was major douchebagery and classless. What a legacy. He shitted on an entire fan base but everyone should just forget about it. :noidea:

I think LeBron is a fine BB player. Going to wind up being one of the best ever but still a douchebag and I don't fault him, its his generation. Hat signing ceremonies are where these kids get started. You know them, they line the hats up and ESPN or the local TV station is there to watch them, pick that hat. The decision was Lebrons hat signing ceremony, he didn't get the chance because instead of college, he went pro.

acting like what? no i didnt ever see bill russell, jerry west, magic, bird, mj, hakeem, or duncan ever post anything on twitter or instagram.. i wonder why.

but jordan was involved in multiple fights and threw punches on the court. larry bird was involved in multiple fights. mj also has a widely known gambling problem. but hey, to each their own, it's his money. let's just say wild gambling binges and fighting opposing players is a level lebron never stooped to.

class old larry bird is a freaking dead beat dad.
Fathering out-of-wedlock kids has become commonplace - 05.04.98 - SI Vault

magic johnson admitted to extra martial affairs that led to his hiv infection that he then put his wife and unborn child at risk for. pure class there.

no youre right.. talking trash on instagram is a new low.

Dude celebrated his title at multiple clubs this past week at Miami. YOU WOULD NEVER SEE ANY OF THE OTHER GREATS DO THIS!!!!! WHAT AN A-HOLE!!!!! JORDAN WOULD'VE CELEBRATED AT ONE!!!!! HATE HATE HATE! :D

Fair enough. But if the worse thing Lebron has done in his career is announce his decision (which I thought may have been a little over the top at the time) and all money from that segment went to the Boys & Girls club then I'd take it. Not saying he's perfect, but some of the posters on here that complain about the stuff he does is just flat out entertaining. Brace yourselves if the Heat 3-peat next year. The internet may lose its collective mind.

Few points here.

First, you are assuming that at the time he agreed to do the Decision that his mind was already made up.

Next, no matter how he would have left, there would have still been some over the top reaction combined with the same nonsense of broken promises and other old past quotes.

Last, and I've asked this before, let me know of any person who has ever or would ever turn down X amount of millions of dollars to sit in a chair for 90 minutes to announce what team they had decided to play for after going through the free agency process. Combine that with the fact that is raised X amount of millions of dollars for a children's charity and in reality hurt nobody other then James himself, it really shouldn't be any type of big deal. Especially 3 years, 46 playoff wins, 2 League and championship MVP's later.

Tell me this, had he stayed in Cleveland, how many championships would he have won as of today?

We all know the answer is 0.
So knowing that, I'm sure James, whose every move is more scrutinized more then any athlete, ever, would rather be in this position then still seeing, hearing, and living all the "ringless" commentary that followed him up until after last season.

In essence, James great play and the end result of it ruined all of his critics fun.
When you see his face today during the parade and fan celebration, there is no way to deny that no matter what you think, thought, or felt, he made the right Decision for himself, and at the end of the day, it's his life,
his career and his happiness.

Somewhat agree, but I think it's making a turn for the better as of late.

I agree, the image of the players is definitely changing and the league is turning for the better. Because that era of ball players are all retiring now.

Heat fans needs to realize people aren't bashing the Heat. They are bashing LeBron. Really, LeBron ain't YOUR guy. You obtained him because Miami just had the money and that is where his two buddies were at in Wade and Bosh was heading there. This easily could have been Chicago right now. People aren't bashing Heat, Hell, if he came to Portland I'd still be a Blazer fan and be glad the Blazers were winning, but LeBron didn't come here because he loved Portland or the Blazers, he came here because of whoever other all star was here and the money fit.

Speaking of other teams, after next year there is a lot of talk of LeBron going to New Jersey to help out Jay-Z. He might do the same to you guys as he did to Cleveland.

Couldn't have said that all better myself. He has come out since and admitted he regrets doing "The Decision", but people need to get the fuck over it. From a macro level, it raised millions and millions of dollars for charity. That alone is reason enough for it to have happened, and I'm a Cavs fan. The resulting issues the Cavs had are not Lebron's fault. He gave them 7 years to surround him with talent, but they were too busy drafting the likes of Luke Jackson, Ejike Ugboaja, Christian Eyenga, and Shannon Brown while turning down a trade for Amare Stoudemire because we couldn't bear to trade JJ Hickson. No player in history could've won a title with that team. Anyone who calls Lebron out for winning a title with Miami needs to grow the fuck up. Nobody does it alone. Even in 93-94, Hakeem had several very, very good players all in their primes.

What I'm seeing in the thread is a ton of anger and, to be frank, jealousy. Lebron has more hype than any player in NBA history, so everyone is trying to find chinks in his armor to try and say "See? He'll NEVER be as good as MJ because..." If social media was around back in the day, you're a fucking idiot if you think the like of MJ, Magic, Bird, Dominique Wilkins, Dr. J, Moses Malone (the original guarantee), etc. wouldn't have been using it to talk shit. The video Lebron made was short and was more mocking than serious. Time to just accept that Lebron is as good as advertised and move on with your lives.

Wouldn't have been something if Jordan went to Detroit because shit wasn't getting done in Chicago? Oh wait, he didn't have to as he spent his off season time playing one on one with Pippen to hone each others skills and also spent his time making the players around him better.

LeBron had Danny Green on his team in Cleveland. YES. I know at the time Green sucked and he needed a lot of work and more time to become the player he is today, but imagine had LeBron taken this dude under his wing and spent the time to make him better and better his teammates, who knows, Green might have improved sooner. But instead of takking his own time of bettering his teammates he bitched and moaned about management in Cleveland not getting him anyone and moved south where they formed an all-star team and he didn't have to worry or have the pressure of making those around him better.
