just saw the first Gaborik goal again.
Beauchemin should not play another minute after that brutal giveaway.
goalie swimming, Rags swarming, and he goes backhand up the middle.

Yeah I know, but after a while it gets tiresome seeing every organization in the NHL doing a better job than your own. I mean for fuck sake, even the Thrashers are putting together a competitive team. How the hell does a team from nowheresville USA know hockey better than two Ontario based clubs?!.
I have to say, I thought Francois was an underrated dman in Anaheim, but maybe it was the case that he looked good alongside either Pronger or Niedermayer. He hasn't been the same player in Toronto.
I don't know either. I'm embarrased about the way the Sens managment has handled the last 3 or 4 years so I can only imagine how you feel about the last 3 or 4 years of Leafs management.
It's just a shit show at this point. Both management teams need to understand that they better start drafting well because you can't solve all of your problems with UFA signings.
Well in the Leafs case, the last 3-4 years are the direct result of Ferguson Jr, which I saw coming a mile away. Every decision that moron made turned to shit. One of the biggest was not even considering the implications of the oncoming labour stoppage, pissing away draft picks and what little prospects they had.
He thought an aging Brian Leech would bring us a Cup. Wrong. He traded Tukka Rask to Boston for Red Light Raycroft, counting on Justin Pogge as the goalie of the future. Double wrong. I don't think he did one thing right in his terrible run as GM. Of course the fact he was even in that job to begin with can be traced back to that incompetent MLSE ass kisser Richard Peddie, but that's a whole other issue.
As for your Sens, I don't hold Murray as responsible for the mess as you do. The dam was already starting to crack when he took over, and all he's been trying to do was plug the holes.
Yeah, MLSE is pretty incompetent I'd have to say. JFJ truly ran your team into the ground and then some. Burke isn't much better to be honest and I say that because of the Kessel deal mainly. I really don't know what he was thinking. A couple UFA signings (Beauchemin and Komisarek) really didn't make sense either.
As for the Sens, the dam did start to crack before Murray took over and I can trace it all the way back to the Hossa sign and trade. I have to think that pissed off a lot of players within the organization at the time. Chara and Havlat come to mind and I don't think it's a coincidence that both of them left the following offseason.
So Mucker started it and Murray didn't make it any better basically.
Avery is having a good game.
MLSE is hands down the worst sports organization in North America. Not one of their properties is halfway successful. I know it might be my own personal conspiracy theory, but the main rotten component to it is the Teacher's Pension Board. They don't and never have given a flying fuck about the sports teams. They just use the ridiculous profits they make to fund the education system.
Now giving money to education is by no means a bad thing, but lying to Leafs/Raptors/soccer fans about being commited to winning is.
