I remember a game the Flames played in the 80's at the old Brendan Byrne Arena (Meadowlands) against the Devils - A huge snow storm hit and the crowd was less than 1000 to watch Calgary play New Jersey.

/can't remember who won that game though.

I remember back when my dad had season tickets, the Habs were here in a massive snowstorm one February.
This was when the Habs visited once a year, and it was THE ticket to get.

We were living in Langley, and by noon, the highways were fucked.
I picked my dad up from his work in Guildford on the way in at, told him it was now or never, and it took another few hours to make it in to the Coliseum. Took my Chevy Sprint, because that thing was awesome in the snow. It felt post zombie-ish driving past all of the stuck cars on the freeway, but we made it.
Spent a couple hours in the bar across the street before game time, and it was similar - about a thousand folks in the building. It was funny to see the twelve people who didn't move down to the lower bowl.

Pretty sure the Habs won, because they always did.
