Legitimate chance these teams hook up with dueling 9-0 records. Would be a blast to see something of that magnitude between the two teams that really hasn't been seen in quite some time.

The entire NFL is undefeated at the beginning of the year. After the first game, half of all teams are still undefeated. Is that what you asked?

Uh.... no. Re-read the title.

After week 3, both Miami and New England were both undefeated and in the same division.....

We're they the last two undefeated teams in the NFL? Is the title of the thread really that difficult to understand?

Mike and Mike said that the last time two teams started out 6-0 in the same division was 1935 (I think. It was 1930 something anyways) when the Lions and Bears were in the NFL West.

I think both teams will be 9-0 for that first matchup in denver. I think the donkeys win that game and then my Chiefs return the favor a couple weeks later in KC. I'm pretty sure that two 9-0 teams in the same division would be a first.

Since the NFL merger this is true. In 1935, I believe the Lions and Bears both opened the season at 10-0 when they played in the NFL West division. Read that somewhere, but I'm too lazy to go back and find it.

Needless to say, in today's NFL having two teams in the same division at 9-0 starts would be a rare feat. Of course, there are six more games to play before we get to that point. Anything can happen!

Yep...Manning's gargantuan dome could suddenly fall off.
