things he mentioned:

-says Andre Smith biggest problem is he's to immature
-said Gresham melted down after the drop and feels thats why they drafted Eifert, says he also takes to many reps in practice in order to get the play right, key year for him.
-says the hard knocks crew was invisible after the first few days, wont be a problem it'll be a plus because practice will be totally different, guys dont want to look bad nationally
-thinks Marvin Jones will be the number 2 receiver
-said Hue Jackson's vision is to turn Charles and Eifert into H Backs and give them carries

had to get out my car so I didnt hear what he said about the defense

I could see Charles getting carries he is more pudgy but Eifert??? Dont get the guy killed..He is tall and has to have low pad level going up against the LB's and DT's close to the line...Maybe we will use him in the backfield as a decoy or something then play action out of it..with BGE and Bernard I cant see Eifert taking carries away from those 2....I think Eifert was used to throw people off....Charles I can see that

I guess fui is still signed in Arizona? why not just fu***** sign a full back?
I don't think Marvin is going to listen to Hue on that one.

We have plenty of running backs now, and plenty of wide receivers that can take quick dump passes for yards. Andrew Hawkins is what, 4th on the depth chart now and Sanu is being demoted to #3 or slot receiver? if Marvin Jones has really improved that much Dalton needs to step up and start looking like Matt Ryan.

In other words, Hue was watching the Patriots play last season and noticed that Aaron Hernandez was used as a running back. That made us go out and drat a tight end so we could do the same thing.

Makes no sense.... Hernandez and Eifert are much different players. To me, Eifert's real value is winning one-on-one matchups where there isn't great separation - This could help Dalton's lousy stats on converting third downs against good teams. As for Charles..... Nice player, but much more of a traditional tight end. I don't see any explosion that would make me want to give him carries.

And I've said it before.... The years we have made our tight ends be fullbacks have not been kind to our running game.

he mentioned how Hue developed Reece from a TE to a RB, he was saying about Eifert that he's lined up in 5 positions and he knows them all, says he's a super fast learner.

Tim Ryan tried to get Lap to agree that Gresham and Smith were mental midgets, Lap said they were immature instead, Lap did go on about how long it takes for Gresham to catch onto things were Eifert has learned 3 or 4 positions already.

Reece is built like a fullback... He probably wouldn't be an effective tight end in the NFL so that was probably his best position. Charles is 6' 3"..... He doesn't look like a fullback to me. Eifert needs to be split out.

Smith just seems immature..... He jumps offside from time to time, but I can't recall the coaches worrying too much about missed assignments with him.

Gresham is a pain in the ass. His inconsistency is maddening and I'm sure he drives the coaches nuts.

Reece is 6'1 so it's not like there is a huge difference between 6'1 and 6'3. If they think Charles can play some H-back I would love to see it. Reece was probably the best player on the Raiders.

I'd say it's a very big deal given the leverage differences in the types of blocking required for the two positions. I'd also argue that counting on someone to change positions from somewhere they have been playing for most of their life is not an easy proposition -- Just because it worked for Reece (a guy that was seen as an athlete without a natural position) doesn't mean it would work for Charles.

But helll, if they want to play with a new H-back concept, I'm all for anything to evolve the offense..... I just don't want to see another set-back to our already inconsistent running game.

maybe that's the only way we can put the ball in Gresham's hands, just hand him the ball, lol
