Shows you what I know about prognosticating wins and losses with these Lakers. What a game that was.

Hopefully they will hammer the Wolves Sunday night in LA. I'm out for tonight. See everyone Sunday night as we get win number 7.

Lin goes on and on about how the smack talk didn't mean a thing yada, yada, yada...

Then says about 3 or 4 times in the same post game interview that they are not soft...

Kobe milked the whole "30 to MJ" thing to perfection, he drew the double-team countless times and was looking to pass-first the majority of the time.

LA played well enough to win for 46.5 minutes but a coaching mistake by Scott nearly cost them the game. He should have had a PG finish the game before OT. Lin had played very well all game, no need to sit him. With no PG, the team folded under the Spurs press, committed something like 4 turnovers in 90 seconds (the team had under 10 prior to this, finished with 14 for the game), and really just stagnated altogether. But in a change of luck, LA had some bounces go their way to retake the game in OT. A deserved win nonetheless

Lakers had this game easy in regulation. Kobe 3 straight turnovers then misses the final shot. Seems like he does this a lot. He'll make a huge shot like he did with that 3 to give a nine point lead with a couple minutes left. But then will totally blow it from there until he needs to make a hero shot at the end which he usually misses now. Almost like a unconscious thing he does so he can take a hero shot at the end.

Kobe's end of the game screw-ups are becoming a noticeable pattern for sure. I agree with Turkey. Lin was playing great and taking him out at the end by Scott wasn't a very good idea.

Yeah, I think Kobe is still having to do a little too much for the team to win. It's getting better, but there's still a ways to go. Last night, a few guys stepped up late and it saved them.

The late turnovers seem to be fatigue related. His moves are a little slower, not as strong and the younger guys guarding him take advantage. Scott needs to make sure Lin or Price are in the game late so that Kobe doesn't have to try to play point and be the 2 guard as well. At the very least, the PG could relieve Kobe of the burden of getting the ball across half court before running the offense through Kobe.

Plus, if Lin is in and playing decently, between Kobe, Lin, Swaggy and Boozer, it gives the Lakers 4 players who can score, making it harder for the defense to just key on Kobe.
