They can't keep Houston guards out of the lane. probably half of Houstons points are layups or in the paint.

THIS is the reason LA can't win a series this year. They can't slow down opposing offenses, they have to hope teams have a bad shooting game.

Disagree. Lin and Harden are getting pretty much any shot they want. They are kicking out to open shooters and not even attempting to pass to their frontcourt players.

This has been the achilles heel of the Lakers for 4 or 5 years. Can't stop dribble penetration or guard shooters. If you can't see it by now, you never will.

Houston averages 106ppg. The Lakers are on pace to hold them somewhere in double digits.

My point, if we just put the ball through the hoop we could set up our half court defense and things wont come so easy for them. I'll agree our transition defense has sucked all year and long before that.

As much as I disliked the Lin signing at the beginning of the year, he is pretty good. He just doesn't get the chance to run the offense too terribly often.

True enough. The secret to LA winning games is slowing down the pace. And there goes another Houston layup.

They have to FORCE teams to play a halfcourt game. Pound the ball with their bigs. Take the fast break out of the game.
