One thing to keep in mind is that, while Collins isn't on the police's radar right now, he's not completely off of it. As it's turning out, there's no evidence, for the time being, directly inculpating as a primary offender in the double murder. But there's also nothing to exculpate him as a primary/secondary actor either. Until they catch the perps and get the whole story, the specter of Collins involvement in this crime will continue to lurk with him and the Cowboys. What's still a mystery to me is why Collins hasn't issued a press release declaring his innocence in any involvement with the murder.
This question from a Lawyer. Not that i have had many occasions to be on the business end of a police investigation. But the one thing I have always maintained is shut up and say nothing guilty or innocent. Because if you decry your innocence loudly and you actually did do it, it will bite you in the ass. Flip side if you are stone cold guilty and remain silent, you can always play the I was to remorseful for my obvious mistake and plead IM sorry at sentencing.
