I will say this, looking at what the bulls got for Jimmy butler and Indy got for paul george, we could have done a lot worse...That 2018 un-restricted 1st round pick from Brooklyn was a good pick up.

i do have to say--- i feel better about the Cavs- both in the long and short term- today- than yesterday.

Was worried they didnt have any leverage in a Kyrie deal. Honestly- I would have counted them lucky to land Bledsoe and Jackson.

To land Isiah, Crowder and a guaranteed lotto pick- one that has top 3 upside-, and a very good big man prospect who will fit in perfect in a big rotation of Love, Thompson, Osman and Zizic- is not something I could have envisioned.

It not only guards against the specter of LeBron leaving with the pick- but it also is a good short term deal with Isiah and Crowder.

Crowder- if LeBron stays is a great, cheap 3 and D piece. If LeBron leaves you could easily flip Crowder for a pick or two.

I also think this lights a fire under LeBron's ass. It DEFINITELY is a huge slight to Isiah Thomas and he will be playing with an enormous chip on his shoulder.



I seriously cant believe after hitting the biggest shot in sports history- that just over a season later- Kyrie would not be on the team---- but i always said he was more Kobe's protege than LeBron's and he pulled a page out of Kobe's book. I am disappointed and sad to see him go- but I cant help but be thrilled with the package they received in return.

This is a great trade for Cleveland, but let's get real. I don't think this makes Cleveland better in the 2017-2018 season.

It makes them about the same for 2017-2018. The Brooklyn pick is pretty huge though as that is almost certainly a lottery pick.
