Kyrie Irving continues to put himself in conversations with Celtics greats thanks to the performances he’s churned out this season. After going off for 27 points and 18 assists in the 117-108 win over the Toronto Raptors, Irving finished Friday’s 122-116 win over the Memphis Grizzlies with 38 points and 11 assists. Not to mention, he had five rebounds against Toronto and seven against Memphis
By reaching 27 points and 11 assists Friday, Irving became the first Celtics player to do so since 1986. The last player to do so? Just some guy named Larry Bird.
Another player playing better without lebron...
Kyrie Irving did something no Celtic has since Larry Bird in 1986
