Shanahan choked really badly in this one. With the game in hand he fell apart in the play calling in the 4th quarter. Twice, with the lead and a chance to put the game away, he blew it. The critical one was on the last drive with a three point lead, Mostert runs for 6 yards on first down and Shanahan calls a pass play that not only kills the clock but forces them to throw on 3rd down as well. They had two running plays to get 4 yards and the entire game changes but he panicked and out-smarted himself trying to pass on second down.
Its a shame because he's OK during the first three quarters but each game they lost this year was because Shanahan made some extremely poor decisions with ball in hand and a chance to win.

And the horrendous call on Kittle at the end of the half ended up costing them the game since they would have only needed a field goal instead of a TD at the end.

Close but not good enough. The Chiefs did not panic and the 49ers did.

Guys, McCoy had some really awful fumbles that costed multiple games, very well may have swung HFA to the Ravens.

When the Chiefs were fucking around and floundering in the W-L column, at some point a message needed to be sent. Darwin Thompson was ultimately the future and really should get more of the carries anyways.

By the letter of the rule it was a foul but that hand fighting happens on every pass play. Its a shame they decided to call it there. Bottom line is the team that deserved to win the game won. It was a complete collapse by the offense defense and coaching staff of the 49ers in the 4th quarter
