What Luke has done so far has been highly impressive. I believe there will be some leveling out, because I think the team will eventually decline as more teams get more film on them. But right now Luke has them playing together and motivated. I mean he's got Swaggy P, being a productive starter. That right there should win him COY.

I don't think they make the playoffs but I think they'll make things interesting this year.

Agree. I don't see them making the playoffs, but they could have a say in who does.

6-4 and of right now they would be in the playoffs and look in the standings at the teams below the Lakers - they are horrible. I think the Lakers could do it if they continue to play this hard all year.

Now if only Luol Deng could stop playing like an even older and slower Roy Hibbert, the Lakers would be golden.

Hes to old to play offense and defense. He literally just focuses on defense. He gasses his ass out. But hes still a very good defender.

I'm just happy for now to see the Lakers have made huge improvements when it comes to sharing the ball and playing some defense in key moments. This team is fun to watch win or lose and a 6-4 start is better then what I expected. So far Luke Walton has done a great job. Love the energy the bench gives. Go Lakers!!! Peace.

So what are the odds the Lakers make it to .500 at the end of the season?

QUOTE="HurricaneDij39, post: 9251833, member: 4224"]I know we already have a thread for this, but as a previously-known Lakers hater I want to make it known that I don't hold a specific agenda against this team. I'm here to give them their props.

As second-year point guards, Russell has thoroughly outplayed Mudiay to this point, who still needs to control his turnovers. Randle is starting to live up to his potential after that horrible injury in his first NBA game a couple years ago, and Nick Young is actually conducting himself like he's 31.

I don't know how much longer this will continue, but so far so good for Luke Walton's first full-time head coaching job. :suds:

Wouldn't surprise me if they won 35-40 games...[/QUOTE]

This ^^^^^^^^^ - Cane is being very generous to us. He is giving the Lakers credit in a separate thread

It's beginning to look like the Lakers are going to hang around that 8th seed and do some damage this year.
