Oh also TG tweeted that Elias said this on playing with Kovalchuk "He cannot do it himself and he needs to get it in his mind that he needs to have guys help him out. We're good players. We can create some chances for him and, hopefully, i can do that."

Didn't get to watch the game, busy at work.

This team is so dysfunctional. We have great individual players that just aren't able to play as a team, which was a trademark here in the past and one of Captain Lou's biggest things....team first.

With what Elias said provides a sign that players are frustrated with Kovy and his individualism. Good on him.

We had 1 shot on goal in the first period which was a weak wrister from Langs. And it took like 11 minutes or something for that! But for Kovy i have no idea what he's thinking but he has to stop it. I guess he feels that because he demanded all that money and he's a proven 40+ goal scorer that he has to score at all costs. And true we do need a lot of goals back in return for that crazy deal he signed but he just doesn't even look for teammates on ice.

I'm glad Elias said what he did, i'm sure the rest of the locker room feels like that.

Completely agree with Elias, it's blatantly obvious on the ice. Kovy just looked real greedy on the ice in the second, I missed the third.

Yea, last night Kovy lowered (raised?) his team leading +/- to a -29, of course both werent his fault. Good thing he scored that even strength goal our else he'd be at -30.
