The Knicks have 48 games left.

my bet is that they will win between 15 and 18 of those to finish in the mid to high 20s in wins.

That's even if they can somehow manage to stay relatively healthy for the duration.

They are nowhere near a .500 team and time will vindicate that. You are using a small sample size against a soft schedule.

The Knicks' FO still has lots of work to do. Lots.
IMHO they're at least 2 or 3 yrs away from being a playoff team. They have to find a way to come up with a long term plan to shed the mediocrity label they themselves are responsible for.
I'm still waiting for Dolan to sell the team, as I'm sure most clear minded Knicks fans are as well. That would be the major impetus to get them on their road back to respectability and relevancy.

The Knicks are have 10 wins with 48 games remaining. The current #8 seed has a 0.441 winning percentage. To match this the Knicks would have to win 26 opf their 48 games left for a 0.542 winning percentage. Does anyone really think that the Knicks can be an over 0.500 team for the remainder of the season to earn a chance to get swept by the Bucks?

Mathematically...everyone is still in the hunt. There haven't been enough games played for anyone to be mathematically eliminated.

But we can watch them play and tell who will be mathematically eliminated sooner and who will be eliminated later.

The Knicks will be one of the sooner.

Actually, right now for teams like the Knicks and the Cavs, every game is the EXACT OPPOSITE of a playoff game. Playoff games are nationally televised pressure filled exciting games between two good teams, trying to get closer to winning a championship. Knicks games are meaningless, pressureless, with at least one terrible team, and have zero effect on who wins the championship.
