If anyone here hasn't learned by now, Cousins is about maximizing his best interest, always has. He is a FA, he is coming off injury, this will be his last contract likely, he and his agent by any means effective, will maximize his last opportunity to cash in. It won't be a 1 year bet on myself deal.

Cousins has the best agent in professional sports. That guy tooled the redskins, the Vikings, and now the Falcons. He got maximum value for his client in every one of those transactions.

Funny thing is a 2nd round draft choice is going to cost almost $10 million a year so if he makes it to his 5th option he will make over $50 million dollars. One might suggest he take a team friendly deal like Cousins first year to help his team out.
