Never thought I'd see the day when 3 superbowl winning qbs are free agents nobody really wants to have to start

He cost us 3 picks? You're blaming Robert instead of Snyder. Mike was smart enough to draft Cousins, solid move.
Robert had a good season but ultimately was not a good qb, and a immature student of the game.
Kirk Cousins is a good qb but thats all he is, and all he's ever been...he becomes a bad qb when the game is on the line.
he's still playing so of course, people will still talk about him. but i dunno anybody that hates him with the same passion as RG3.
Players, ex-players, fans.....you name it, they either love or hate him.

Of course I'm not blaming Griffin for the team deciding to trade 3 first. Just as you should not be blaming Kirk for taking deals that the teams had offered, nobody put a gun to the head of those owners. See how that works?

I'm talking about it from the fan's perspective. I don't see how anyone can argue that Griff was far more damaging to the team than Kirk Cousins. Yet here we are, for the 120th time debating Kirk Cousins and we have said virtually nothing about a QB who acted and played far worse.

Can you please expliain to me why that is? You seem more upset about the money Minnesota paid out than the 3 firsts our team lost.

I may need to scroll back, but from what i remember, it appears something along the lines was said that Cousins may be getting hated on more than RGKnee.
Robert was a fail, a massive franchise set back fail. He was a reach but Kyle did what any skilled motivated no excuses type of coach would do. Find what works and win.
It then became evident Robert was just not that guy, most 20 year old guys are immature but he got no passes just hate or love from his cult following.
Kirk on the other hand, IMO like i said was a good regular season guy, but when it was time to win us a meaningful game, or playoff game, he failed and sometimes was directly responsible with a major turnover. He did it here, you have testimony from the Vikings and im surprised no falcons have come in here yet too. It sounds like folks are making excuses for him. When you pay a qb what Kirk has gotten you deserve more than 1 playoff win. He's overrated and a failure as well. These are kinda well known things.
But again, i don't think anyone hates him like people do robert.
Oh I'm happy he's getting money, he and his agent manhandled Snyder in negotiations and they never stopped. He's a winner in that category

Remember Cousins played two years on the tag so no guaranteed money. I just think a lot of fans and media wanted Griffin to be the guy but he was no where near as good as Cousins. KC isn't great but he was pretty damn good. dad and I said when they let him go he would be hard to replace 7 years later they got what appears to be a special QB in Daniels.

I agree with this. Personally, i wanted to believe Griffin could duplicate his rookie year, he could not. Even when Kirk and the team couldn't get it done in the playoffs, i still liked him, no one will ever forget the Bucs comeback game. That day he could have beaten any team in the NFL.

And I said that the Vikings , at the beginning of that season Were not considered contenders going into that season . No one had them being contenders

Playing above their station didn’t make them contenders either as their early exit indicates .

And even making the playoffs that year with the 13-4 record a very small percentage had them in the superbowl or the NFC. Title game .

In 2018 Cousins completed 70% of his passes for 4,096 yards, 30 TDs and 10 Ints. Sure doesn't sound like he was the big problem.

He also fumbled 9 times and was sacked 40 times. His completion percentage is always high because he takes so many checkdowns. He wasn't the problem, but he wasn't the solution either.

I have no idea why you keep saying nobody hates Kirk like they did Robert. Kirk has not played here in 7 years, yet here you are starting another thread about him. We stopped talking about Griffin a year or 2 after he was gone, and most of that talk was blaming Shanny for his injury and not the QB for acting like a complete ass.

Are you really claiming if I did a search I would find more hate for Robert Griffin III than I would Kirk Cousins on this or any other board? Were people starting threads about RGIII 7 years after he left Washington? Come on now.

I have already done that, you have simply refused to accept my points. Again we have been talking about Kirk Cousins constantly, and it's never flattering, and he has been gone for 7 years. We stopped talking about RGIII a year or 2 after he left and most of the conversation was about how Shanny did him wrong.

Not sure how you can continue to claim RGIII was hated more when we have read nothing but hate for Kirk all this time and again most of the critical comments regarding RGIII were years ago and mostly directed at the coach. I have no idea how you can deny this has occurred.

Love him or hate him, but London had his best season ever with Cousins under center.

Mooney had his best season since 2021 and just missed 1000 yards. And Mccloud had his best season ever.

And you can’t fault the player for accepting what teams are willing to pay him.

Would you turn down the money? Then why fault Cousins because he didn’t either?

Dude bet on himself and came out on top financially. The guy should be applauded, not crucified. No one made those teams offer him that money.

He played well enough to entice the teams to pony up the dough.

Look, finding even a solid QB in this league is not easy. And the draft is a crap shoot. If a QB produces wherever he goes, teams will pay for that player.
