All indications at the moment seem to be that it's just a matter of rest for Marty. I'd rather he do nothing for a week or 2 to get back to 100%. No practice, no sitting on the bench. You need to dress 2 goalies so why not get the kid up here and let Marty really just take it easy?

I doubt we see him, but with the way Moose has played his last 2 games I wouldn't mind seeing the kid get a chance.

Just read that Marty and Carter are visiting the doc today and have a chance to return on Thursday..I was just thinking yesterday why we havent called someone up yet. Heard that if Moose got hurt last game Marty would've have been able to go in. That would've been ugly and embarrassing.

Yeah considering Marty was scheduled to start there was no reason to have a goalie behind Moose.

I think the Blues went through a similar situation a few weeks ago when Halak pulled something in warm ups..if Elliott went down they didnt have another option available.

I don't mind the move and hopefully, against a less stellar offense, Kinkaid gets a shot just to get a feel for the NHL...

and while we're at it, with call ups, how about we call up that Devils team that started hot for us in the beginning of the season... eh, wadda say?

Sounds like it isn't Lou said they didn't want him on a long lane ride with the sore back. Hopefully he's back early next week because Moose has stunk

Moose has stunk the past 2 games. Prior to that he was pretty solid. Hopefully it was just an off week for him and he can return to form.

Im confident Moose will turn it around..the D needs to be much better then they've been.

Lets not make it an automatic goal with every penalty we take..that would be a good start.

I like it for 2 reasons: We're gonna make the playoffs despite the current slide we're in I ain't too worried about that. Give Marty all the rest you can and make sure he's 100% every time he starts. Second and probably most importantly Marty has maybe 1 more good year after this one, we have all these goalies down in the lower levels (Kinkaid,Wedgewood etc) we need to see if one of these guys can carry the torch that Marty is about to pass or if we need to get a FA goalie in the offseason then draft a backup.

I've seen a lot of Wedgewood this year and he may or may not be NHL material but he's still a few years away I'd say
