I feel like calls happen. Kings can't be 50% on the PK.
Big freaking saves by Campbell there. Kings are gonna get their chances, so they need to make Edmonton pay for being that aggressive. Nice counterattack, but would have been nice to bury that one.
Whelp. Old Kings in the building. Lost every single faceoff in their own zone. Playing not to lose. Yes, some calls kinda suspect, but Edmonton carrying play so they are more likely to get those calls. End of the day, Edmonton PP is 100%. Get it together and defend a Power play.
3-3 headed to the 3rd. It's going to go to the aggressor I think. Kings had some chances and didn't score. One of those goes in and it's different story, but they have to go on the attack.
Absolutely fell apart in the 2nd, they looked like they took their foot off the gas and simultaneously the Oilers cranked it up. Seems like LA either thought the game was in the bag or weren't prepared for that onslaught that everyone knew was coming (except the Kings apparently) and folded like a cheap lawn chair. The whole "play not to lose" plan never works.
Campbell made some big saves, but he gets rattled easily. Would be nice to get one quick past him and get in his head a bit. He's a great guy as we know but his career has literally gone into the toilet so exploit it.
Fiala penalty was borderline at best but the Oilers were buzzing and refs will give you those calls.Did love seeing Byfield flatten McLord who was hanging onto him as he was skidding through the neutral zone on his knees, then he looks up like "what, no penalty?". Clown.
Come out super strong here, this is most likely the series.
Big goal for sure. But Kings started the period in FULL SEND mode, which is great. That type of game where aggressor is going to have some success. Neither team looks strong defending right now.
Fiala looks great. Slowing a little bit, and fumbled a few little stickhandles but he's being aggressive and it's opening the ice for everyone else. He gets the puck and he's either looking for the open man or trying to shoot immediately.
It wasn't a dominant period by Edmonton but they steadily climbed back into it. That 2nd period killed LA.
Campbell with some great saves, another one that I think Korpisalo probably should have stopped from Kane. Interesting, the Kostin goal in G2 that ended up being the GW and now the Kane goal pretty much from the right dot with Korpisalo sliding left to right and both going back against the flow. Hope they haven't found something to take advantage of.
This certainly does feel like LA will lose, the HGs are going to give the Oilers an OT win at some point especially after the controversy in G3 in OT.I just hope it isn't tonight.
Arvidsson has had the most stellar chances all series long of all the forwards and hasn't buried one yet, would be awesome to see him net one here.
Kings looked awesome for about 16 minutes of that period. Just went into a shell. I didn't hear what they said if that was Edmonton's 2nd or 4th shot of the period. Doughty too soft on pressuring Kane. I feel like this has been one of Doughty's worst games.
But man, I knew when that Campbell save on Arvidsson happened you just had to mark it for reminder. Korpisalo did return the favor though. I though Oilers won it there.
4-4 headed to OT. Edmonton I guess is like 2-10 in their last 12 playoff OTs, but those are always the records until they're not.
Massive opportunity here. Just feels like the series hangs in there. I do think Fiala changes things, but the things I hate are with knee problems, there's the chance (As we've seen many times) that it flares up again. You don't want this to be it for Fiala so you need to get it done and see how his knee responds.
