I have to be honest, I'm tapped out when it comes to the draft. I know who I hope they pick, but they're gonna pick who they pick at #2, and the whole draft needs to be dynamite.

Me too. He has always seemed to have a chip on his shoulder. His performance in our first ever playoff series makes me give him some latitude though.

Oh he's an all-time Rangers great in my opinion. His no-show applause was louder than half the guys that were there.

I think he got caught up in the steroids scandal and didn't want to deal with the attention. But damned if high school Ephland wasn't following his stats like they were made of gold.

I try to remember how differently the Rangers drafted last year compared to how everyone thought they should. That is what is giving me hope at this point.

Tyler Phillips had a very good, but very short, outing for Frisco tonight. I wonder if his innings are being limited so he can come up later in the year to take a rotation spot with the Rangers. At his current pace he would only have about 50 innings under his belt after a total of 14 starts.

At the current intervals he would get about 10 more starts by the end of July. So they could begin ramping him up a little toward the end and still come here at the end of July with no more than 60 innings pitched.
