I feel like 2 first rounders is steep, especially with the money they are going to have to pay him. But then again, my other team got 2 first round picks, and dont have to pay a big contract, sooo.

Its kind of a double win actually...…..if he can get this defense a top ranked defense, its a win for the Bears...…...And for the ones wh0o believe defense wins championships, then two 1st rd picks is a cheap price...…..

And the raiders win by having two 1st rd`ers the next two seasons...…..you gotta love it.

I think both the Trubisky trade and this trade show Ryan Pace is desperate to keep his job. It could work out. If not he's toast.
I disagree about the desperation. I think he just has big balls. When Trubisky was drafted I think he still had another 2-3 years of mediocrity before being on the hot seat. He was given a trash heap and wasn’t even allowed to pick his own head coach at first. Fox wasn’t his choice. The Trubisky trade was ensuring he got the QB he wanted. Rumor has it, he was talking to the browns about trading down so they could take Trubisky while finalizing the deal for the niners. This trade was a bold move to address the biggest weakness of this team.

Not really. Show me two first round picks for the majority teams in football over the past 10 years that you'd rather have than Khalil Mack. They're literally losing only one player with that second first round pick.

Giving up 2 firsts is a damn steep price to pay. I don't think the Bears were only one player away and losing both of those picks will come back to bite them hard as they try to continue the build that would help them catch up to the Vikings and Packers.

bears defense was good last year,we drafted a stud in Roquan smith to get better and be in top 10...…...now with Mack,we should be a top 3 defense...……….And for the ones that believe defense wins Championships,we are on the way...…..Ill be at the bears/Pats game welcoming Tommy into retirement...…...jk
But our defnse will tell the tale of good we can be......

Name two first rounders since 2001 the bears have drafted that you wouldn’t trade for Khalil Mack? Teams blow two first round picks on busts in hopes of getting a Khalil Mack. Draft picks are only potential.

The Bears' future looks much brighter than New England's right now, IMO.

Trading Garrapolo might have been the dumbest move ever. Brady will take that team hostage, right into the dumper.

Then it will be like pre-2000 all over again, where there was you know, like 3 admitted Pats fans.

i said this before, you trade for mack if ur in position to win a superbowl and hes the missing piece....you just lost what 2 first rounders and a ton of cap space on a team not ready to contend..........sorry i would be upset at this deal

Was Philly a team ready to contend going into last year?

What about the Rams?

You know who is most likely to be in a position to contend or make that jump? A team not paying their QB 35M dollars or so right now. The Bears would be morons to not be aggressive with this kind of opportunity and cap space; this is why you save this kind of draft and cap capital.

Says the fan of the team that just paid a 34 yr old QB, coming off his 2nd broken collarbone, eleventy gazillion dollars.
