I think they lose in the NCG....but going unbeaten at 34-0 an undefeated season never seems to bode well for teams when it comes to playoffs.

A crazy idea, if I was coach Calipari I would have hoped for at least one loss late during either the regular season or conf tournament so the team knew what defeat or losing a close game felt like.

only way I see them losing is to zona or wisky. either of them would have to play the perfect game. nova is the only one in the other side of the bracket with a shot. I don't see duke have any chance because they play no defense

Kentucky had many close calls during the season.

Wisconsin plays tough defense and has very few turnovers.

Interesting call. The last undefeated team with a chance at a NC was UNLV. I honestly can not remember the last undefeated from a major conference. What is the pool of undefeateds that says this does not bode well for Kentucky? Let's be honest this is very rare territory and there is minimal data to support anything

I don't remember if I ever got around to posting it here, but I did a little bit of research on the subject.

Not so much on undefeated teams, but teams that went wire to wire #1 in the AP poll (start to end without dropping from the #1 spot)

12 teams have done it.

11 played in the National Championship game
7 won it.

So based on that I'd say they have an excellent chance of making it to the title game. And a pretty good chance of winning it all.
