Lions just added a new member to the Practice Squad. Talk about a crazy path to the NFL. He didn't play football in college. Played for such teams as the Atlanta Chiefs Semi-Pro team, the Dodge City Law of a 2nd tier indoor league and he finally hit the big time in the Arena Football league with the TB Storm.

He was an ambidextrious dual threat QB in high school and he has changed over to WR now. Has been timed sub 4.30 in the 40 and ran a 4.37 for the Lions.

I hope this guy makes it -- He would have to win for the craziest story of making it to the NFL.

Definitely a cool story to read. Sounds like he's blazing fast, at least judging by the accounts of other players. Should be a fun player to watch in camp next year...

Another interesting tidbit about Kendrick Ings, who prior to accidentally stumbling over the article, had never even heard of.

In high school, he beat Darius Slay in the 100 during a track meet.
