In the "old" days, before all the big money was being paid to players, guys played through most injuries and, frankly, produced pretty well. With high salaries, teams today shut guys down for just about anything.

Kemp needs to "man" up and get back out on the field. I see him running around and jumping up and down all the time, so I'm beginning to wonder how he can do all of that, yet can't play ball.

Fortunately, this team has continued to win without him........at least so far.

We have been winning without Kemp but I do think it is ridiculous when people say that we do not need Kemp. I still believe he can regain form and HOPEFULLY he can come back in September and be productive. He is only 28 and I do not think he is done yet.

I'm running out of patience with Kemp, It's funny because I've heard a lot of talk about how Puig is a loose cannon and takes too many risks out there but hardly any about how Kemp dogged it running to home when he twisted his ankle..

Call me crazy but I'd much rather have a rookie who plays 120% every game and leaves it on the field, loose cannon or not then a veteran ballplayer who's always hurt and doesn't run plays out.

Kemp is a great player when he's healthy but if the Dodgers win it all this season and he's not a factor don't be surprised if the Dodgers look to trade him next season.

If anything I think they trade Ethier before they trade Matt Kemp but that is just my opinion.

Matt Kemp has been my favorite player ever since he came up, 27 is my favorite number, but when he comes back I want him 100%.

There shouldn't be any talk about it in my opinion. Everyone was talking about how Kemp left it all out on the field too much when he hurt his shoulder in Colorado. In the game he twisted his ankle, the game was already in hand and it appeared there was going to be a collision at the plate, so I give Matt Kemp a pass in "dogging" it in a game that was something like 6-0. Kemp hesitated and I think he went in foot first to try to avoid further injuring the shoulder. His mental game is all out of whack right now but if we can get him 100% healthy I have no reason to believe he won't dominate the league, he was dominating the league when our lineup sucked around him.

Everybody gets hurt, Buster Posey went down for an entire year early in his career, should the Giants have given up on him too?

PS Kemp is still better defensively than Puig as of now.

Well I hope he can stay healthy cause we need him soon, the good thing is with the lineup we have and the way we're playing there's no hurry to rush him....

We need Kemp back but the team is rolling along without him right now. Let him get healthy so he can make a contribution come playoff time.

I've decided on a nickname for Matt Kemp.

'Chinchilla'

Because he's as soft as one.

This team does not need Matt Kemp. That is quite obvious.

It's quite apparent you haven't seen how the team has been playing in his absence.

You should look at the stats.

That is how we are playing right now but I disagree and think we need Kemp on this team to succeed long term. I want him to come back and regain power :)

The Dodgers need Kemp.

Kemp has to stop running around and jumping up and down and get his butt back on the field. He's worthless to the Dodgers sitting on the bench.

Apparently Kemp is being shut down indefinitely due to a setback in his rehab.

It is always nice to have Kemp, but the Dodgers have succeeded this season largely without him. So, the Dodgers should be able to carry on without him.

Hopefully, he returns to 100% and is ready to play in October.

Lets just forget him coming back for October now...the team already has a chemistry & if his going to comeback until the playoffs there is no point....Comeback next year Kemp when you're actually healthy & start earning your pay check you BUM!!
