Kemp does us no good if he is hurt so we cannot try to rush him back. Hopefully he can heal up and join us in September and stay healthy. When he played hurt before he was only hurting the team so let him heal up.

Maybe Kemp should stop running out on the field to greet the walk-off heroes or jump up and down in the dugout. I've seen him moving pretty good so I'm a little perplexed as to news that he is healing slowly.

Let's hope this injury problem doesn't become a constant with Kemp. I read today he may need more shoulder surgery in the off-season.

We've been successful without him, make sure he's healthy when he comes back

Kemp apparently has some problem with the top of his shoulder. I was surprised to read it, but I'm not sure he will be 100% for some time.

Give Kemp the rest of the year to get healthy at this point as he will only hurt us if hes not fully healthy

I'm just happy that the Dodgers have been winning with Kemp missing.

Unfortunately, that will not fly so easily in the playoffs. Ethier needs to get his slow ass out of CF, and the Dodgers will need his right-handed bat to spell the tough left-handers that there will be in the playoffs. All of the little marginal things that the team has been getting away with will be exposed when the best teams in baseball have their aces lined-up for 'em.

All I am saying is we need Kemp healthy and not hurt. If his injuries are lingering what good would it do to play him hurt?

It depends on what the "hurt" is. Do I want him hobbling on one foot? No. Do I want him to muscle through inflammation? Sure, if the medical staff clears him and he's able to be productive.

Remember, he was playing with that shoulder inflammation in Washington when he sprained his ankle. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double in that game.

I agree, man.

I think that if Ethier hadn't been playing really well lately, that Kemp would already be back and going 0 for 4 every game, or worse, re-injuring himself.

Since Ethier has put up some good numbers lately, they haven't felt the need to rush Kemp back into the line-up before he's ready. After all, they rushed him back a couple times already this year, and that was when we didn't have 3 outfielders playing well. Now, we do!

From strength to strength, hopefully...

Yeah I want Kemp back for sure as the lineup misses him. We just dont need the ankle or the shoulder injuries to keep lingering

Oh Mr Kemp what are we going to do with you ? something tells me this guy might not even play this year for us if his just going to comeback & injure something else or hurt that shoulder more...it's not worth bringing him back this year. It's already looking like his going to need another shoulder surgery unbelievable!

Yes we need him for the playoffs but his hardly played the last 2 seasons & if he needs another surgery then just get it done now so you can heal sooner & comeback next year..yeah it sucks but it's problaby for the best instead of us fans always wondering if his going to comeback or what the hell is going on with him. To be honest i'm sick of it!:gaah:

I thought the issue was his ankle now his shoulder is still hurt??? Might as well have him get it done and call it a year.

:nod:Can't remember who it was that shot a foul ball into the dugout against the Marlins but Kemp was on the top step and had to twist his body, jump down onto the concrete to avoid the ball. Now I am not an expert but he sure looked healthy twisting and jumping and then laughing after the moment. I don't get it.:noidea:

Did you read what I posted? His shoulder was hurt before the ankle. He has arthritis in his left shoulder. The inflammation is from that one swing in San Francisco that put him on the DL back in the beginning of July.

AFTER he experienced that injury, he came back from the DL in Washington and went 3 for 4 with a double and a home run. It was just a freak accident that he sprained his ankle in that game.

He can play and produce offensively with that injury. It is his non-throwing shoulder.

Stop freaking out. This is not the same shoulder injury as last year. Last year it was a torn labrum which is totally different. He's also had over a month to recover from the incident when he hurt the shoulder, and if he returns in September that will be almost two months.

Joint inflammation and muscle/ligament tears are not the same. You don't need to be a medical or movement expert to understand this. I'm not trying to diminish the fact that he isn't going to be 100%, I'm just saying that this is not the same situation as last season and therefore it does not need to be handled the same way.

Does it worry me that he's not 100%? Yes. Does it make me feel better that he can go 3 for 4 with a double and a home run (off of Jordan Zimmerman) in a game where he was only two weeks away from the injury? YES.
