The Lakers have to get aggressive and trade for Leonard.

Can't pray he comes next summer. Fucking PG.

It's a staring contest now. Just who blinks first. I'd say its 75% chance a deal gets done. They won't just assume because a guy says he wants to come means he'll come

You are implying the trade talks for Leonard caused George to stay in OKC. That just isn't true. Every comment he has made since the season ended made it clear that LA was not a done deal and that he loves OKC.
Say what you want, PG has talked for a year about wanting to be a Laker, now he could go be one beside LBJ and instead he's gonna hang around OKC for 4 more years. I think that if the Lakers hadn't have leaked it that they wanted Leonard and had instead said PG was their priority all along, he would be there. Either way, SAS has ALL the leverage in a deal with the Lakers now

Your cause and effect assumptions are off.

The Lakers could have had both. It wasn't an either or situation. PG stayed in OKC because he liked playing there. And he has talked equally about loving OKC since he got there.

Everything is becoming a big problem for the Lakers.

If LeBron can't get Kahwi to go with him to LA, then what? He might go to Philly or stay in Cleveland for another year. Why go to a team that might not make the playoffs. How about playing in Boston for one year?? With the Celtics he'd be almost guaranteed another shot against the Warriors and a much better chance to win.

The Spurs don't have to do a thing. They could wait until the trade deadline and haul in a pile because there will be a team that needs that one player to get into the dance and Leonard might just be that ticket.

Odd thing about the NBA........just when all the lights are starting to shine their brightest, someone screws with the power source.

Only if LeBron is insisting on it before committing.

Otherwise, there will other options over the next 6 months on how to use their cap space / assets.

No need to overpay for Kawhi right now unless it's required to get LeBron.

If LeBron goes to the Lakers you really think they are at risk of missing the playoffs?

Celtics would have been a great option, but that went out the window whenever LeBron declined his player option.

Put Lebron on any team in any conference, and at the very least you're making the playoffs. Now, if you put Lebron on the Lakers in its current capacity, you're probably looking at a ceiling of the 2nd round/WCF.

The only thing that makes me think Leonard could come next summer is he hasn't changed his mind.

PG waffled back and forth more than a hormomal pregnant woman.

No offense ladies.

I wouldn’t be so sure in the WC. The EC is a joke right now and the Lakers are shit if they don’t add someone else.

Lakers won 35 games with Ball and Ingram missing significant time. Put Lebron on that team, and they're probably a middle of the pack WC team. Not a legit title contender, but not bad either.

Maybe. Lebron ball doesn’t work too well in the West though.

Why? Does the West play a different style of basketball that I'm not aware of as opposed to the East? I assumed it was just based on all of the talent being out West.
