Will he show the mental strength to become a more consistent leader or is he simply a talented flash in the pan?

He just seems to get rattled when the pressure is on. I dont know about you guys but in that Saints-niners game I was quite confident that he wouldn't be able to move the ball in the 2-minute drill.

Of course there is plenty of time for him to mature and develop but he seems to have taken a monster step back and his confidence seems fragile. Perhaps it was a bit premature for him to make commercials talking about what a great "winner" he is?

I think Kaepernick is somewhere between the player he was at the end of last season and where he is now. He's playing fustrated and that needs to stop. Once he figuers it out and slows the game down he'll be OK. He's not what people said he was last year, nor is he what people say about him this season. He can be a very good QB but that won't happen if he doesn't let it.

Guy hasn't even played one entire season yet. Already flashed in the pan?

:laugh3:

I am sure its all Kaepernick though, probably has nothing to do with spotty performances by the o line this year, the absence of Michael crabtree, other injuries, or the play calling. Its clearly all on Kaepernick huh?

And Tom Brady sucks too. Look at his up and down performances this year. Its all him. Has nothing to do with injured WR's or offensive line struggles. that guy is just a deer in the headlights now.

LOL, Sonny is obsessed with the 49ers QB. Crush?

Brady doesn't panic after 2 seconds in the pocket.

Other QBs are dealing with injuries too.

Why cant you discuss this without personal attacks?

Sounds like when you were excusing A.J. Jenkins for lack of performance. He's hasn't played long enough...
blah, blah. Kaep has sucked this year and while having Crabtree out hurt, it hardly excuses his performance to this point.

If it's the injuries, then he's guilty of being carried by those players.

Wilson has 60% of his oline injured for most of the year and the remaining 40% may be the worst 2 starters on the entire team. They were certainly the worst starting pass protectors on the line.

Remember week 8 last year when Seattle fan was calling for Matt Flynn?

I am not like that.

That is pretty funny. Take away one player, marshawn lynch, and seahawks would have been 6-10 last year max.

A Kaepernick thread and Breaker99 has only used this smilie once: :laugh3:

WTF is going on? By now on average he would have used it 10 times in his lame attempt to make others feel foolish while only succeeding in proving himself to be just that.

Frankly, I'm disappointed in your effort (or lack thereof), Breaker99. You're capable of being much more pathetic than this.

And to answer the OP's question, yes Kaepernick's pie-in-the-sky act is already nearing expiration. He exploited the silly hype while he could. Gotta give him at least credit for that, even if his play is pedestrian at best.

Well it's not last year, Lynch is healthy and Seattle has depth at RB.

Back to reality....

Seattle's o-line has been decimated this year, and he has overcome it and even taken a step forward as a pro.

Also during the first of the season RW was one of the highest rushed qb's and sacked,,,Kaepernick has had it way more easier than RW in that respect.

In fact looking at Wilsons game logs, he has laid some turds, even in wins...

Against SF... 8 of 19 for 142 yards
Houston.... 12 of 23 123 yards
Indy..... 15 of 31 for 210 yards
St. Louis.... 10 of 18 139 yards

But he isn't depending on the team and marshawn lynch to carry him huh? Wilson has put together some amazing last second wins against some bad teams. Against good ones he doesn't look like any kind of world beater to me.

You dont know that, this team has adjusted many times last year and this year, plus every loss last year was 7 points or less.

Stats can be deceiving.

In all of those games Wilson made big plays to keep his team competitive.

Against SF, it was his 4th quarter performance that put the game away.

In Houston he engineered a 98 yard drive late in the 4th pretty much on his own.

In STL he was responsible for 100% of his team's points.

But enough about Wilson, this thread is about Kap. The Wilson vs Kap discussion has been over for months.

Which big play against SF in SF did he make to keep them competitive last year? 9 of 23 for 122 yards, zero TD's and an interception? He had a 38 QB rating.

Funny how much blame you like to associate with Kaepernick, but Wilson never does anything wrong, never struggles, never contributes to a loss.
