Kaepernick has been donating/fund raising millions of dollars since entering the league to help children with shitty situations. Yet many people want to frame him as this bad guy who is only donating money to save face as if 1 million dollars is an insignificant amount of money.

In Kaps' case, he took a stand by himself, which tells me he truly believes in his convictions here...On top of that, he is being pro-active in helping the "cause" with donations, etc.

These other guys are just trying to bring attention to themselves, and by all accounts aint doing shit about being pro-active members in improving society and the situation they are supposedly standing for

That's fine but I think he threw it away by using his place of business as a means to show disrespect. There was no reason for that. The national anthem in the US has morphed into a huge symbol of respect for those who made the greatest sacrifice of all to protect flag and country. Those people are the ones who's contributions and sacrifices allowed guys like Kaepernick to live in millionaire comfort and snub their nose at the system. I'm sorry but while I wholeheartedly believe in freedom of speech, let him do it at the local little league game. The whole country shouldn't have to see what a dipshit he is.

I feel like you're framing your story as well... I think it's great that he's helping kids with heart diseases, but how does that correlate to his "oppressed" group he's sitting for? Again, the focus is Colin and not the cause, however noble.
