They reported he was being investigated for sexual assault, and named him, left Patton and Ricardo as side pieces, refused to redacted story and actually stood by it publicly, and it turns out he never was under investigation for anything and he wasn't even there.

There are always two sides to every story. I would trust Matt Barrows over TMZ any day of the week but I didn't see the Miami Police correcting any false reports yet. I'll will wait and see. If I had to guess on this I would say the girl was a nut-case and they were trying to get rid of her.

I would assume because it was under investigation they didn't (and still haven't) make any comments until it's complete especially since there appears to be a "he said, she said" element to it.

And the police did actually come out and correct TMZ in calling it a sexual assault investigation by emphasizing it was for a suspicious incident.

Possibly true but the MPD has not made any statement about the whole story. They were still doing the investigation so they were not going to give out info until they were done.

This is why I like to take the wait and see approach. Some guys that jumped on Kap on this board now look silly. Its also good to hear Patton didn't do anything wrong.

I think this all blows over in another week or so, unless something else comes out about the story.

Well, very good news for Kap. Based on the woman's report, this call occurred within minutes of the time when she "lost consciousness." Starting to look more and more like she got pissed at Kap for some reason, though I do think we still need to wait and see what the tox screen turns up. That said, the fact that this call was made casts so much doubt on her report of happenings prior in the evening that I don't see any way this could become a legitimate criminal case.

He has no case against TMZ. They reported on a complaint filed by the women. Had TMZ fabricated the whole story then yes he'd have a case. Now with the latest to come out of the story Kap may a case against the woken, but what will he get from her other than dragging the story along?

They reported a story that a women claimed to have been drunk, who went into a room with Kap, both got undressed, Kap left, two others peeked in and she passed out with no memory after that. When the story first broke it sounded as though she has been drugged. Now it sounds like the women may have filed a false report. His complaint will be against her.

The police often say someone is not under investigation. Remember when O.J. wasn't a suspect. The DA just went with the police to inform him of Nicole's death.
