If the Jags end up releasing Blackmon would you be alright if the Cowboys went after him? I think that they could give him the same security team that is around Dez Bryant. Look how Dez has turned around his life already from when he was drafted. Maybe Blackmon could do the same thing. Also imagine that combination of Bryant/Blackmon/Williams. I think wherever he goes someone will get him for cheap. So why not Dallas roll the dice on him if he gets released.

Don't even think he plays this season. Some people hate Dez they would DIE if we got Blackmon.

I myself want no part of him.

New England seems a likely landing spot, when he is eligible.

Well sure, lets just pair Blackmon and Dez up with the same babysitter system to keep them on the straight and narrow. He would be a good infuance on Dez since he has it all figured out.

I would pass. Not a position where we're in dire need of an upgrade, certainly not one with this much baggage. Let somebody else gamble on this guy.

If we do bring him in at least Dallas knows how to build security teams. Pacman, and Dez. We may need on for Lawrence. I guess we can house them all under one roof.

Why would we need one for Lawrence?

No. Having a security team around a guy is not a good thing. It's questionable if having one guy in that situtaion is too many. If he wants to play for the veteran minimum with no guaranteed money, then I'd think about it because we could just cut him if we have any problems. Other than that I'm not interested.

I'm just being an ass. I do wish I knew what his 3 team suspensions were for. If they're for under age drinking or too many tardies I'm not too worried, but if they are criminal in nature I will have concerns.

Gotcha. I thought something came out that I hadn't heard. My guess is they were nothing and nothing will ever come of it. Thye interviewed him and still traded up for him. That tells me something

Think about it guys- in the 90s we had guys that made Pac Man Jones look like Roger Staubach compared to them. I know they were proven players and some eventual Hall of Famers, but they were bad dudes. It didnt stop me one minute from loving them. I m older now and understand a little more, but I would still take bad apples and a ring over 8-8 seasons every year.

Here's the thing with the 90s teams though, Romo isn't Aikman. Dez isn't Irvin. Irvin could be the biggest ass on the planet but at the end of the day the guy was the boss. He pushed everyone on the team, he was the motivator, he wouldn't let them lose. I just don't see that guy on this team to keep everyone in check.

Oh I get that. But it wasnt just Irvin. Irvin was bad but there were others. I loved Irvin and still loved him after he sliced McGivers neck . Honestly, that was probably one of the more minor things he did. Those guys were Rock Stars and lived like it. He was our heart and soul and ever since that day in Philly , we have been searching.

This made me think of this:

I'm sure many have read or at least heard of it, but this one was a lot of fun, really easy to read. Being a Mets fan I also enjoyed this guys other book "The Bad Guys Won" about the 1986 Mets.
