They did not have to kick the FG there but that play call was interesting because it was a vertical down the middle of the field with no timeouts.

With 8 seconds left, no timeouts, and the ball centered, there was literally no route that makes sense there. A short pass out of bounds makes it so you aren't centered. With any long pass, you run the risk of time expiring. It's a lose-lose.

Yea I dont care what Carroll, Bevell or Wilson say. Unless they didnt believe Haushauka could kick a 46-47 yard field goal then you need to be kicking there. There were definaately a few clock management errors today that I hope we clean up.

Wow. Interesting commentary here. The Niner fan friends I was watching the game with all thought it was a TD if Wilson throws that ball in stride. I agreed.

I think that Baldwin got chipped which delayed him enough so he couldn't catch it. Wilson threw it too high anyway so he probably wouldn't have scored. But it was 6 if Wilson throws that ball on the mark.

I personally thought it was a great call. We were getting the ball back in the 3rd quarter. Why not take a shot?

I've changed my mind on this, I re-watched that play last night and I think Baldwin cut the route short, I've never seen RW throw that far over a receiver and if Baldwin was running the correct route he is catching that inside the 5 with a great chance to get it in the endzone.
