NY. I don't think they'd make this trade if they can't resign him.
Ouch.
So what is he worth?

What will he get?

My guess is 12 years 480 million in order to get Soto to skip FA.Ouch.

It better be A with B in their back pocket if needed. Things get hairy once he has full free agency.Separately... When will they renegotiate/re-sign?
A) This off season
B) During the season
C) After this season

Yep. He's much younger he will get a huge haul tooDifferent players but that Ohtani deal may have just bumped Soto's price up $100 million. 10+, $600+.
He gets in his head too much. He's going to go through times where that short porch is going to fuck with him.Padres Continuing Juan Soto Trade Talks

Who gets this guy? 24 years old, not even necessarily in his prime yet. Can you imagine him in Yankee stadium with the short porch in right?
I wouldn't worry too much about him. That guy has better plate discipline than probably anyone ever at his age.He gets in his head too much. He's going to go through times where that short porch is going to fuck with him.
Thats true but he did go through periods where he couldn't get out of his own way. Not everyone can handle New York. Giancarlo has hit 38 24 and 31 home runs as a Yankee if you thow out the first three years when he was hurt all year. He was supposed to be a monster.I wouldn't worry too much about him. I'll give you that. There are no guarantees how a player's power numbers are going to look, even with an apparent upgrade in ballparks. That being said he seems like a pretty safe bet to have a good year next year.Thats true but he did go through periods where he couldn't get out of his own way. Not everyone can handle New York.
