Has Mike Green recorded any with the Caps?
guess I haven't been paying THAT close attention
He was a canuck at the time. It was a pretty special moment.I'm impressed that you remember Dave Babych's hat trick. All I can remember is the badass stache.
yes, yes he should.Should Phil Housley be in the Hall of Fame? He's 4th in points among defensemen, the three guys ahead of him are in the Hall along with the 8 defensemen following him in points.

and he probably had 6 all year.
yes, yes he should.
he was an animal for a lot of years.
in other news, Linden is eligible in a pretty weak class.
you and I are probably a tad biased in our votes.

Sure. Right after Pierre Turgeon. Housley was scary bad in his own zone.
Well, I guess it could be worse, you could have put Sylvain Turgeon...
I'd say Trevor Linden meant as much to the Canucks as Bernie Federko did to the Blues...Not a great argument I realize, but if Bernie Federko is in the Hall, there should be room for Linden.
Housley was terrific offensively but that defense...
I think you need more than one 2nd All Star team on your resume to crack the HHOF. He's a lock for the USHHOF, tho. Of course, that's not gonna impress a Canadian. You smug bastards.
He was the face of a franchise, that's true. But that was during the Canucks' Dark Ages. Federko finished in the top 10 in scoring five times. He had four 100+ point seasons. Linden never did either. I'm a huge Terry O'Reilly fan, but I can't see Taz in the Hall. Linden was never more than very good and highly respected. I can't remember him ever being great.

lol...It's always fun playing the 'what if' game, as in what if Housley played with the Oilers, Penguins, and Flames and Paul Coffey with the Sabres, Jets, Flames etc.
He was pretty great in the '94 Stanley Cup playoffs (and leading the Medicine Hat Tigers to back-to-back Memorial Cup Championships).
